It's that time! Satellite Down needs a drummer. If you think you are a fit, read on.
Who are we looking for? Well, you must be committed first and foremost. Secondly, you must 'really' be a good fit. We need someone who can practice 2-3 times a week in the Dallas area. You must have your own equipment and it must be great. As in a great acoustic kit and yeah, some triggers and pads her and there buried beneath stuff would be a help. Happy 2009 everyone! Just wanted to post a quick update on what's going on. As you have probably noticed, we haven't posted a new show or any new material in a while. Some folks may think bad things have happened, but quite the contrary.
Late 2008 saw Satellite Down losing two of it's crucial members, our drummer and bass player. Both were due to life changing scenarios or creative differences, but none were controversial.
We spent quite a bit of time at the end of 2008 figuring out where we needed to be, and while it isn't optimum for the sake of time, this is it. A small break in the action to concentrate on finishing up a song writing/studio session that should last well into February.
So here we are, working our tails off on pre-production for our debut CD, We Are All Alone Now.
Not to fear, as this is a good time to keep everyone updated on how this CD will sound. We discussed on how to make something different, and I think we've got it. We want to get YOU involved. I'll explain a bit more on that soon, but trust me, it's going to be loads of fun. We don't want our fans to be happenstance bystanders, but have a voice, and we know just the way to do it!
So stay tuned, we are working with new people and new ideas, and we hope some of those ideas come from YOU!

For those of you wondering what's going on recently, Satellite Down is undergoing revisions to its lineup. In the past month or so, we have been working out where we want to go musically and while the decisions are hard, we have made a few.
We will be on a bit of a restructure for the next month as we attempt to fill a spot in our line up that has proven to be heartbreaking and complicated. We will tentatively start auditioning bass players for the future.
This will of course cause a bit of a slowdown in our momentum, but we hope everyone will stick with us and continue to check out this site as well as our MySpace. We are still in the process of finalizing songs for our CD release as well as working out future shows. I am sure we will post tidbits of those goodies in the next month or so.
Joey and Jaymz have been working on new songs and there are some great assets in the books now, we just need to work them out.
